Helix Traditional Thingyan Festival 2026

As April arrives, the campuses of Helix International School come alive with the vibrant spirit of the Myanmar Traditional Thingyan Festival. This year’s celebration was a beautiful blend of culture, merit-making, and pure joy, creating unforgettable memories for all our Helixers. Here’s a glimpse into our heartwarming celebration:

🙏 Paying Homage to Teachers (Acariya Puza)

True to the essence of Myanmar culture, we began our festivities with a touching ceremony to honor our teachers. Dressed in beautiful traditional attire, our students showed their respect and gratitude, embodying the grace and humility that we value so highly at Helix.

🍜 Sharing is Caring: “Satuditha” Feast

The spirit of generosity was in full bloom! Students from every class joined hands to prepare and serve Satuditha (charity food). From traditional treats like Mont Lone Yay Paw, Shwe Yin Aye, and Mont Let Saung to other nutritious snacks, the joy of sharing and teamwork was truly inspiring to witness.

💃 Singing, Dancing, and Water Splashing Fun

What is Thingyan without a bit of excitement? The Helix Stage was buzzing with:

  • Traditional Dance: Graceful performances by our talented Helixers.

  • Live Music: Energetic solo and group singing that kept everyone’s spirits high.

  • Water Play: Pure laughter and cool splashes of water, sealing our 2026 memories with happiness.

At Helix International School, we believe in nurturing not just academic excellence, but also a deep appreciation for cultural heritage. We are proud of our young leaders who carry these traditions forward with pride.

“May everyone have a peaceful, prosperous, and cool New Year!” — From our Helix Family to yours. ✨
